Biokovo Skywalk and Makarska
Biokovo rises almost straight out of the sea behind Makarska. A narrow road climbs it, and near the top a glass platform hangs over the edge.

Makarska Riviera
The plan
Biokovo mountain road
The road winds up through the nature park, with views over the Makarska Riviera and the islands of Brač and Hvar.
Skywalk
A horseshoe-shaped glass walkway built out from the cliff, about 1,200 metres above the sea. On a clear day you see far out across the Adriatic.
Makarska
Back down for lunch and free time on the promenade under the pine trees, or a swim from the town beach.
Good to know
Biokovo Nature Park charges an entrance fee, paid separately, and limits the number of cars on the road, so the plan depends on access and weather on the day. Bring a jacket: it is much cooler at the top.
