Počitelj
Mostar
The plan
Međugorje
Since 1981 the village has drawn pilgrims from all over the world. Time for St James's church and Mass, or a climb up Apparition Hill along the rocky path with the stations of the rosary.
Počitelj
A fortified Ottoman town on a hillside above the Neretva, with a mosque, stone houses and a tower at the top. Short, steep and very photogenic. Included when time allows.
Mostar
The Old Bridge, the bazaar and a late lunch by the river before the drive back.
Good to know
Passport or ID card for every passenger; border waiting time varies. Shoulders and knees should be covered in the church and mosques. For Apparition Hill, wear shoes with a good grip.
