From Split to Dubrovnik and back in a day
Dubrovnik is about three hours from Split, so this is a long day, but the drive itself is part of it. Since the Pelješac Bridge opened in 2022, the road stays in Croatia and skips the Neum border.

Pelješac Bridge
Dubrovnik
The plan
Pelješac Bridge
A short stop for the view of the bridge spanning the channel to the peninsula.
Ston
Ston's walls run more than five kilometres over the hill, built to protect the salt pans that made the town rich. In Mali Ston, oysters come straight from the bay.
Dubrovnik
Free time in the Old Town: the Stradun, the churches and the harbour, or a walk on the city walls. On the way back, a stop at a viewpoint above the city if the light is good.
Good to know
Expect around 12 hours in total. The city walls, museums and a licensed city guide are paid separately; Alen can help arrange a guide if you ask in advance.
