Split to Dubrovnik the long way, through Mostar
If you have a whole day between Split and Dubrovnik, you can leave the coast and go inland to Mostar. The road crosses into Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the day ends back on the Croatian coast in Dubrovnik.
It is a long day, so the start is early and the plan keeps the drive inside Alen's working hours, 06:00 to 22:00.

The stops
Mostar
The Old Bridge over the Neretva, the stone bazaar on both banks and lunch in the old town. Two to three hours is usually enough.
Počitelj
A fortified village on a hillside above the Neretva, on the way south from Mostar. A short extra stop if there is time.
Dubrovnik
Back into Croatia, over the Pelješac Bridge and on to your accommodation.
Passports and the border
You leave the EU and come back in, so there are two border crossings with checks on both sides. Everyone needs a valid passport or an ID card accepted by Bosnia and Herzegovina; check the rules for your nationality before you travel. In summer, queues can add an hour.
Good to know
The stops and waiting are charged on top of the transfer, and the price comes back in the reply before you book.
